History of the Architectural Concept

The design team for the Chinese Ivorian stadium undertook in-depth research into local culture and the arts, as well as taking into account the requirements linked to the use of the sports building and the climatic characteristics.

The deeper meaning of design choices

Inspiration from the World Cup and Africa

The design of the stadium draws its inspiration from the shape of the World Cup and that of Africa. The lines at the bottom, stretched upwards, evoke the image of several human individuals spreading out their bodies side by side.

Abstract expression of local characters

The rich details of the design, such as the triumphal arches and translucent plaques, serve to express the local characters in an abstract way.

Technical Data

Inaugurated on Saturday 4 November 2023, the new sports facility covers an area of 20.17 hectares. The new stadium is part of a drive to make Korhogo the largest sports centre in northern Côte d'Ivoire. Emphasis has been placed on modern, comfortable seating.

A Monument of African Football

The Ebimpé stadium marked a significant milestone in the history of African football by earning a prestigious place among the continent's ten largest stadiums.

the African bird's nest

The distinctive feature of the stadium is its "bird's nest" shape, meaning that the majority of the seats are located around the football pitch, with an imposing main stand above the stands. This main stand features an impressive steel structure that rises 40 metres above the pitch, offering a panoramic view of the entire stadium.

A Luxurious Refuge Harmonising Colour, Comfort and Culture

An elegant and refined interior lounge offers a welcoming and luxurious atmosphere. The soothing neutral tones of the walls and furniture create an elegant backdrop, while splashes of bright colours and rich textures bring subtle life to the space.
